For years, mine and my husband’s story has been told by people willing to exaggerate and sensationalize our story for their own personal gain, turning us into caricatures. My goal has been to regain control over the narrative of our story, but without knowing where to begin, I focused my attentions elsewhere. Then my husband unexpectedly died. After his death, I was lost. My world had suddenly and irreversibly changed, and because of this, I was looking to reinvent myself.
I needed to find work that allowed me to provide for myself, but I was also looking for something that would give me purpose, and an identity that was more than just being John McAfee’s widow.
That's where my interest in SEO began
My interest in SEO began as I was working for my friend Patrick McKenna of Canvas Marketing Solutions.
While for working Patrick, I began to realize that the SEO work I was doing could be the vehicle with which I could take back control of mine and my husband’s story. I also discovered a renewed sense of purpose and identity through my work with CMS.
This experience led me to establish Janice McAfee SEO, with the aim of assisting businesses in distinguishing themselves uniquely within their respective industries.
